The WOW fusion device explained

WOW fusion is an innovative needling device that allows skin practitioners to create bespoke skincare cocktails in the little glass vial that is ideal for your skincare needs fusing the benefit of micro-needling with the addition of mesotherapy.

What is Microneedling?

Micro-needling is a medical procedure which involves creating tiny injections in a specific area, so that the ingredients can flow into the epidermal / dermal junction and improve the luminosity of the skin, thicken the epidermis and strengthen the dermis through mild collagen stimulation. “Thetreatmenthas been proven to help skin’s overall texture and stimulate collagen production. “ -Mary Stevenson, M.D.(Mary Stevenson, M.D.), New York City-baseddermatologist via Vogue Magazine

What is Mesotherapy?

Mesotheraphy is a procedure that involves making tiny injections into the surface of the skin. The injections contain a combination of vitamins, minerals and other components which are naturally found in the skin, such as hyaluronic acid. There are many types of Mesotherapy that can be tailored and administered depending on the specific concerns one is facing.

What are the benefits?

Microneedling and Mesotherapy are both great for treating a wide range of skincare concerns, from rosacea, acne and acne scarring to cellulite and even hair loss. In addition, as Mary Stevenson pointed out in her interview with Vogue, ‘the tiny injuries created with micro-needling “promote collagen formation, which in turn allows the skin to remain tighter and thicker as we age”. Which is why the treatment doesn’t just give temporary benefits, it actually gives stronger and healthier skin in the long term. A single treatment, however, won’t be enough, our CEO Claire Williams recommends at least 4-6 sessions a week apart, depending on the issue and the area to be treated and every 4-8 weeks from there on. “Accordingto a 2008 study, skin treated with four microneedling sessions spaced one month apart, produced up to a 400% increase in collagen and elastin six months after completing treatment.”-Dermatologist Mona Gohara, MD interviewed by Elle Magazine.

Hello hyper-Personalised skincare

Skin expert, founder and CEO of WOW facial, Claire Williams, says “For years I suffered personally with my skin. From severe cystic acne to Rosacea, I just couldn’t find relief in generic skincare products or advice. I sought help from many different doctors but none of them could really tackle the issue. I realised I needed to find the answers for myself, and that’s where the idea of hyper-personalised skincare was born.”Claire goes on “Inthis quest to healthier, stronger skin, I discussed with medicalprofessionals and I came across a new device, a mix between micro-needling and mesotherapy, and I knew that could be the answer I was looking for. I had a real opportunity to bring somethingvery special to the market. I went on to create WOW fusion®, a device that allows the practitioner to create hyper-personalised skincare cocktails in a little glass vial.’“ There are many different ingredients to choose from, and all will target different skin concerns: the most common ones are Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin C and B-complex vitamins, essential and non-essential amino acids plus many more ingredients used in aesthetics to be mixed in a way that will improve the look and the health of the skin. A real bespoke treatment for each client’s skincare woes.” adds Claire.

The WOW fusion® device explained

The WOW fusion® device is a small glass vial with a needle head that contains 20 titanium 24K gold plated needles each being 0.13mm in diameter. The needles also have a small spiral groove on the outside that allows product to flow down, straight into the skin’s epidermal/dermal junction. The WOW fusion device needles come in two depths: 0.6mm and 1mm. The first is perfect for treating open pores, oily skin, sun damage, hyperpigmentation, dehydration and fine lines and wrinkles. The latter is ideal to treat dehydrated skin, sweaty skin, fine lines and wrinkles, rough skin and to create luminosity and to induce collagen production.Your skin practitioner will select the right needle depth for you, and firmly yet gently stamp your skin with the needle head, pushing a small platform up into the unit which will pump the product out of the needle head and down the needles.
