Profhilo is an injectable anti-aging treatment made from hyaluronic acid to address skin that is losing its elasticity and firmness with age.
How does the treatment work?
HA is hydrophilic, meaning it draws and holds water from your body, so Profhilo acts as a hydrator rather than a filler. It is injected just below the surface of the skin where it disperses quickly and reacts with the tissue to instantly boost hydration.
Profhilo is most commonly used for facial areas, but can also be used to rejuvenating the neck, decollete, arms, knees and hands.
Who is the treatment for?
Levels of collagen, elastin and Hyaluronic Acid in the skin rapidly drop from the age of 30, resulting in signs of ageing such as fine lines, wrinkles and lacklustre skin. Profhilo acts to reverse some of these changes.
This treatment is also suitable to anyone who suffers from tired, dull looking skin.

The maximum effect of Profhilo is usually seen 1 month after the second treatment. Courses of two treatments can be repeated every 6 months as needed to maintain the results.
Are there any side effects?
Due to its high purity and absence of additives, Profhilo offers great safety.
However, as with most non-surgical aesthetic treatments there could be a risk of some side-effects, for example; minor bruising or swelling at the injection sites. These side effects occur on the rare occasion and generally diminish quickly when they do.
Profhilo is not recommended for pregnant women, women who are breastfeeding, or for anyone who is allergic to Hyaluronic Acid.
